I thought of it when earlier today I received the email below from a firm in China with which I have never done any business.

Don't misunderstand: I appreciate the emails of concern and support that I have received from friends and colleagues. Even heard from someone who I haven't seen or been in touch with since high school. But getting this, now, from someone I don't recall meeting and with whom I don't have a relationship?
